Manjar de eleição confeccionado de diferentes formas, o Cabrito sempre fez parte da tradição local, sobretudo em épocas festivas. O arroz de miúdos e o cabrito assado com batatinhas e grelos fizeram e fazem ainda hoje parte das nossas mesas apesar das dificuldades dos nossos dias. E é assim que abril vai chegar trazendo a Castanheira de Pera, filhos e amigos da terra, comensais ou turistas para uma magna iniciativa que tem por objectivo divulgar esta especialidade gastronómica e torná-la mais conhecida e apreciada por todos.
